See who
outpaid you.
Your pay vs. what they swore to the government.
Government wage data, not self-reported posts. Enter your job, city and pay and we place your base pay against the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics survey for your job in your metro. If your employer sponsors work visas, we also compare you with the base wages it filed for those visa-sponsored positions in your role. In about 30 seconds you’ll see where your base pay sits.

Each row is a real employer cohort from the FY2026 Q3 file. The salary is an example input, so try your own.

$10,000/yr
Typical spread between the 25th and 75th percentile of filed base wages for the same job, same employer, same metro and same experience level (DOL wage levels I–IV), across 8,725 groups of visa-sponsored positions. Without matching levels the spread is $21,320, mostly because of seniority. It’s a spread, not what you’re owed; a free check shows where you actually sit.

The raw DOL file has 437,496 rows. 36,084 are withdrawn or denied, and wages are mixed hourly, weekly and yearly.
55,404 raw employer spellings. We merged 4,223 companies’ variants (Inc/LLC/commas) by federal employer ID.
The file lists filings, not your rank. We build your exact employer × role × metro cohort and compute your percentile on your device.
A spreadsheet won’t tell you what to ask for or how to say it. The Dossier gives you the number, the receipts and the email.
Fair questions.
ALL FAQ →Is this legal?+
Yes. These are public government records published by the Department of Labor. We show employer-level wage data and public case numbers, never worker names. Discussing your pay with coworkers is also protected for most U.S. private-sector employees under the National Labor Relations Act. This isn’t legal advice.
Is my salary private?+
Yes. Your salary never leaves your device. Your browser downloads the public filings for your employer and does the math itself. Share cards show your percentile and employer, never your salary. Payments go through Stripe, and Stripe never sees your salary either.
My employer doesn’t sponsor visas. Does this still help?+
Yes. Every check gives you a market verdict from Bureau of Labor Statistics data for your job in your metro, covering all employers. If your employer also files wages with the Department of Labor (5+ salaries for your job), you get a second, company-specific verdict. Employer filings skew toward tech, finance, healthcare, universities and large companies.
What do I get for $14?+
The Leverage Dossier, which also works for job offers: your target ask (75th percentile of your exact group), your gap in dollars per year and month, the nearest filings above you with public case numbers (when your employer files), employers nearby that report higher pay for your role with links to search their openings (where filing data exists), a word-for-word raise or counter-offer email plus a fallback line, a neutral one-page summary to hand your manager, and a 3–4 page PDF of all of it.
Why not just download the DOL file myself?+
You can, and it’s public. It’s also a 437K-row spreadsheet with hourly, weekly and yearly wage units mixed together, withdrawn and denied cases, and dozens of spellings per employer. You’d have to clean it, merge employers, build cohorts and compute percentiles, then write the email. That takes hours. Outpaid does it in 30 seconds.
Is this financial or legal advice?+
No. Outpaid is an information tool. For visa or employment questions, talk to a qualified attorney. We can connect you with one through “Get matched.”
