Outpaid (“we”, “us”) is operated by Jordan Summers, Idaho, USA, at getoutpaid.com. This policy explains what we collect and why. Contact: hello@getoutpaid.com.
Your salary stays on your device
The salary you type into the checker is never sent to our servers. Your browser downloads public filing data as static files and computes your percentile locally. The Leverage Dossier is also generated in your browser. Share cards and share links contain your percentile, employer, role, cohort size and cohort median, never your salary; anyone you share a link with can see those values.
What we collect
- Email and preferences you submit (Outpaid Watch alerts, referral requests): your name and email, the employer/role/metro you chose to watch, and for referrals the type of professional you asked to be matched with. Used only to send what you asked for.
- Basic server and hosting logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested, timestamps) kept by our host, Vercel, for security and reliability.
- Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. We will not see or store your full card number. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to the data it processes.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- We don’t store worker names. Public filings contain employer names, case numbers, job titles, worksites and wages.
- We don’t use advertising cookies. We may use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics.
Referrals
If you request an intro to an immigration attorney or negotiation coach, we will share the details you submit (name, email, role, employer, the help you need and optional visa status) only with the professional you are matched with, and only after you consent. Matching is currently done by hand by the operator. Outpaid is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice.
Retention and your choices
We keep submitted emails until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Email hello@getoutpaid.com to access, correct or delete your data. Every alert email includes an unsubscribe link. Residents of states with privacy laws, including California, may have additional rights, which we will honor upon request.
Public data
Wage data comes from the U.S. Department of Labor’s OFLC LCA disclosure files and the Bureau of Labor Statistics OEWS program. Both are public government records.
Children
Outpaid is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will post updates here and change the date above.
